Context

The freedom to research anything you want, when you want, or where you want is at the core of human existence. Conceptualizing new ideas can potentially push human knowledge and open up new possibilities. Think how the concept of “zero” led to the creation of modern computational systems. Research is a lot like any other creative process. Research is not linear. Nothing happens for ages and everything happens at the same time. That is why researchers need a safe environment to think, to explore, to discuss, to understand, to write, to publish, to receive feedback, and to grow.

Challenge

But research institutions everywhere are under attack from all sides - how they are financed, what they can research and how their research is used. If researchers had the same control of their work as compared to a certain pop star known for earth shaking performances, imagine the possibilities. We clearly need a new system where there are no barriers between creation and monetization.

Our Approach

We are entering the new era of the “Research Entrepreneurs”. A new era needs a new institution, that’s why ROXBOURG ADVANCED RESEARCH INSTITUTE (RARI). RARI will NOT take over the patents of the researchers. RARI will NOT take an equity stake in the companies created by the Research Entrepreneurs. RARI will NOT set any constraints regarding which research areas it will support or promote.

Our Mission

:: RARI will build the world’s biggest campus together with the local government authorities to create a safe environment for researchers.

:: The quality of research will be managed by the Roxbourg Standards Advisory Board (SAB) where masters, doctorate and post doc candidates evaluate the progress together with the candidates in a supportive environment thus guaranteeing close to 100% graduation rates based on meeting thresholds instead of the dreaded “curve” where only a small % of the class graduates.

:: RARI will be part of the Roxbourg Professional Higher Education (PHE) ecosystem that includes the Roxbourg Humanitarian School (HRS), Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE) and the Roxbourg Investment Accelerator (RIA) and as a result everyone will have access to a wide range of services.
